Don't think it was the language barrier....
I just belive she has a strong tendancy to honor stereotypes. Wasn't exactly a truthful cross section of american youth.
I think she is deeply confused about american youths. Maybe some sort of french projection, but I was deeply concerned about her work and all the things she didnt know how to say.
