Julia Barbosa Landois (MFA '07) will present a new work, entitled Star-Crossed, as part of He Said/She Said, a live performance event in conjunction with the museum's Estampas de la Raza exhibition. Star-Crossed employs ranchera singing and video to examine the conflicts between faith, culture, and modernity. He Said/She Said,
curated by Chris Davila, will also feature the work of Jimmy James
Canales. The event will be followed by a Q & A session with both
artists.
Performances begin at 3 pm on 12.15.12.
